Scam using Clark Energy's name

It has recently come to our attention that someone is calling persons that are not necessarily members of Clark Energy Cooperative to inform them they will have their electric service disconnected on a certain date if their bill is not paid. This caller then offers to take payment by check, credit, or debit card over the phone to avoid interruption of service.

All Clark Energy members who have not paid their bills will receive a disconnect notice by mail with a date that payment is expected before service will be turned off. Also, we have a notification system which will call the member's phone number that is listed on their account to inform them of an impending disconnect. Solicitation of credit card, debit card, or check information is not part of this notification process. Payments may be made online at www.clarkenergy.com or by calling one of our offices during normal business hours.

In the event you receive a phone call from someone or a recording that states they are calling on behalf of Clark Energy Cooperative asking for payment of any kind, please do not give them any information. If you have questions about your account or its status, please call our office at 1-800-992-3269.
