When you participate in the volunteer program, we'll supply that energy from an environmentally preferred source.
This supply of renewable energy is limited, so it does cost a little more than energy from traditional sources.
But the difference is less than 3 cents per kilowatt-hour.

Our new EnviroWatts program offers you another opportunity to help the environment by purchasing energy generated from environmentally preferred sources.
By joining other participating electric cooperative members, you'll help encourage power generation from such renewable resources as biomass, wind and water. And every renewable energy purchase helps the environment and helps preserve finite resources.

EnviroWatts is our name for green power, energy generated from environmentally preferred, renewable resources such as biomass, sun, wind, water, and geothermal springs.
Purchasing EnviroWatts
EnviroWatts can be purchased in 100 Kilowat-hour Blocks. The average household uses about 1,000 kWh per month, so you could purchase from 1 to 10 blocks. Each block will cost $2.75 above your current cost per 100 kWh. For Example, if you purchase 2 blocks, your bill will increase by $5.50.
