If you like the idea of “green power”, EnviroWatts is the program for you. This energy is generated from renewable resources, such as biomass. Because the supply of renewable energy is limited, it does cost a little more than energy from traditional sources.

EnviroWatts can be purchased in 100 kilowatt-hour blocks. An average household uses about 1,000 kWh per month, so you could purchase from 1 to 10 blocks. Each block will cost an additional $2.75 above your energy usage bill. For example, if you purchase 2 blocks (200 kWh), you will pay $5.50 in addition to your energy bill and you must agree to purchase that amount for one year.
